Twisting Puzzles
Clover Cube
The Clover Cube is a variant of the Curvy Copter and Helicopter Cubes that, like its more complex cousins, can shape-shift (referred to as jumbling) if turned with pieces rotated at a specific angle.
If you choose to jumble the puzzle, you make the solving much trickier. If you don't jumble the puzzle, it is relatively easy to solve because the petals that you need to move are all positioned in such a way that they can be easily moved into the orbit where they can be moved into their destination. If you jumble, you are going to want to restore the puzzle shape first. Jumbling and unjumbling will create some shorter algorithms for positioning pieces and may be needed after you have restored the puzzle shape.
All in all, this is a nice puzzle. The version I have is a little awkward to turn at times and you need to be careful not to pop the pieces. If you don't jumble then you can solve intuitively, which requires just enough thought to keep you interested.
