Flower Petal Pyraminx
The Flower Petal Pyraminx is a variant of the classic Pyraminx puzzle. The centre of each of the 4 faces has a circle of petals, 3 smaller petals and 3 larger ones. The circle of petals can be rotated.
If you choose not to rotate the centres, the puzzle is equivalent to a Pyraminx and is solved using the exact same approach.
For a more interesting challenge, you can rotate the centres and muddle up the petals. After doing this, you can solve the outer parts just like a Pyraminx. Then you can work on the petals. You can do this intuitively and, with a little persistence, you'll restore the puzzle to its solved state.
