Gear Shift
The Gear Shift is another of Oskar van Deventer's puzzles. It consists of 4 large and 4 small corner pieces that form a cube shape. All of the corners have cogs on them.
The puzzle looks like a smaller version of a Gear Cube and you might be forgiven for thinking that you are going to get a puzzle that is to the Gear Cube what the Pocket Cube is to the Rubik's Cube. That is not what this puzzle is. When mixing and solving the puzzle, you can pull faces apart to separate them and twist the pieces with the faces held separately.
