Phantom Cube
The Phantom Cube is a fairly recent version of the Rubik's Cube produced by Rubik's. At first glance, it looks like a cube that has yet to get its stickers. A closer look lets you know that there are some stickers there, they just all seem to be black. If you hold the puzzle for a while, the warmth of your hands activates the colours and you get something looking like the following image.
I like this puzzle for solving. You do have to use a bit of memory and solver's intuition (reasoning what a piece is without having to see all of its stickers). The colours stay visible for a little while but will fade if you don't push the pace with your solve. All in all, this puzzle gives you a nice little challenge without requiring large investment in memory techniques.
