Falling People Project

This project is a fun little game. In the early days of home computing you could buy games but many weren't much more than a tarted-up version of this project. I first wrote this game for the Vic 20 around 1983 or 1984, making a BBC B version a few years later when we finally saw a computer in our school. I based it on a little handheld game where you had to catch parachutists in a boat. If you missed them then the sharks came and scoffed them. The small amount of coding in this project is the basis for a vertical (or even horizontal) scrolling game. It can be adapted to make you have to dodge some things and catch others. High score tables and other features beef it up a little.
